Welcome to BESS – a most attractive Trinity degree programme which has received widespread national and international acclaim. The BESS programme with its multiplicity of options gives students the opportunity to study a whole range of subjects in Business, Economics, Political Science and Sociology. In particular, it allows them ample time during the first year of the course to make well-informed decisions about their future studies and career paths. The BESS course thus offers flexibility and choice. The broad- based common first year gives you the freedom to discover and develop interests that you may not be aware of until you enter university. You then have the opportunity to specialize to a high level in either Business, Economics, Political Science or Sociology or various combinations of these.
BESS graduates hold senior positions around the world in accountancy, banking, corporate finance, manufacturing, journalism, public service, teaching and research. Many graduates also go on to do post-graduate degrees in Ireland and abroad.
